BHUTAN

A Land of Happiness-Shangri La

In this isolated kingdom, developments and progress is not only measured by the Gross National Product. It is also measured by another indicator called the Gross National Happiness

How do they measure Happiness?
Some of the criteria of Happiness includes the preservation of values, the establishment of good governance, conservation of nature,etc.

For one of the Bhutanese, success to him is:
Where you started from and how far you have reached. It's not about comparing you and me because the path you and I have taken may be different.

Happiness to the Bhutanese is a balance between the spiritual and the material.
For spiritual, it is more of the enlightenment of the individual rather than more of a religion sense. (Buddhism is the dominant religion in Bhutan)

One little boy asked:"Where is Shangri-La? Is it a place in the world or a place in your heart?"

The answer is both.

Life in the end essentially means Life.
One must enjoy the process of living.

I hope everyone will be able to find the Happiness in your life!

here's a song for everyone... this was also the theme song for the HC night... well, the 23 pound food wasn't very fantastic but i was kind of happy cuz the feeling of catching up with old hc friends and reminiscing about our shared hc days is really cozy... it just like reading your blogs, it's entertaining and therapeutic to know what's going on in everyone's life... oh well, me will be back from 10 jul to 22 sep... and let's go visit sally some day... don't let her look back in anger though...
